Ajay and Yamini live in the US, but when it came to getting married, they chose Jodhpur, the land their families come from and the place they love.
The celebrations began with a haldi full of yellow, laughter and a very competitive tug of war. At the sangeet, held at Taj Jodhpur, family and friends took over the stage under old stone arches and sparklers. The after party turned into a Texas cowboy night, with fringe, hats and an energy that didn’t let up until late.
The wedding day began quietly, with a morning at Balsamand Lake. Soft light, still water and a bride walking down old stone steps in her sneakers made it an unhurried start. By the time the petals were flying and the two of them stood hand in hand, it felt less like a destination wedding and more like a return.
